Fernandina Beach FL
Nice walk and getting ready to head south again.We left St. Mary's and motored over To Cumberland Island in hopes to walk around the island but found the docks closed due to damage. We considered pulling the dinghy's up on the beach but ran aground before reaching the beach and didn't want to wade through the water to haul the dinghy to shore for 5 yards so we opted to skip it and go on to Fernandina. We motored over and anchored just off the main part of town and dinghy'd into see the town. When we arrived this was sitting next to us so we had to go for a visit!
Of course we found fudge, ice cream sandwiches, and a wonderful dinner at the Salty Pelican. We checked out the Oldest bar in Florida and generally enjoyed the town for the day.
